Complete FAA MedXPress
Before your appointment, complete the FAA MedXPress application online and obtain your confirmation number.
Schedule with an AME
Use BlueHive to find an FAA-designated Aviation Medical Examiner and schedule your examination.
Complete Examination
The comprehensive exam typically takes 60-90 minutes and includes all required testing.
Receive Certificate
Upon passing, receive your First-Class Medical Certificate directly from the AME.
Common Disqualifiers
Be aware of these factors that may affect your results or clearance.
- History of psychosis or bipolar disorder
- Uncontrolled diabetes
- Coronary artery disease (without CACI or SI approval)
