Chris Davis is a content developer at BlueHive Health, where he translates federal and state occupational-health regulations into plain-English guidance for HR managers, safety officers, and compliance leaders. His articles cover OSHA recordkeeping, DOT and FMCSA driver qualification, PHMSA pipeline reporting, drug & alcohol testing programs, pre-employment screening, and the day-to-day mechanics of multi-state hiring.
Before joining BlueHive in September 2024, Chris spent nearly four years in healthcare operations — first as Medical Office Manager for an addiction-recovery clinic in Charleston, West Virginia, then as Front Office and Billing Manager for the Akumin / CAMC Cancer Center Radiation Oncology department. Those roles gave him firsthand experience with intake workflows, prior authorization, payer coordination, and the downstream cost of every missed compliance step. Earlier in his career he founded Davis Leatherworks (a global direct-to-consumer manufacturing business), Davis Financial Services (bookkeeping and tax-prep), and served as a secondary teacher and principal at South Charleston Christian Academy.
Chris holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Charleston (2012) and continues to earn professional certificates in content strategy and AI-assisted research, including coursework from the University of Pennsylvania (Wharton) and the Coursera Instructor Network. He works fully remote from Belle, West Virginia.
